Publishing Slides in Mandarin
Jan 15, 2013
I am trying to accurately publish a presentation that is done in Mandarin. I have gone to start-control panel-region &language- and installed "East Asian Language"however this still does not give me the ability to write/type in the correct characters. Which also means, that I am unable to publish the slides that the instructor sent to me accurately. Does anyone have any idea how I can get these slides to publish accurately without having to go through a third-party translator/publisher?

Hi Margot. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
I personally haven't worked with Mandarin in a course before. However, you might want to take a look at this knowledge base article and see if the suggestions make any difference with your presentation text. If you're still unable to get the content to translate or characters to display properly, we'd be happy to take a closer look.
Thanks!
Thanks Christine! This option, seemed to do the trick!
Rotate the Z axis of the text box
This option pertains to PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 only.
If you slightly rotate the Z axis of the affected text box, Presenter '09 will publish the entire text box as a single object rather than publishing each character individually. This will allow your stacked characters to publish as expected. Here's how to rotate the Z axis:
If you have numerous text boxes that need to be adjusted, you may be able to use the PowerPoint macro described in this article to adjust all the text boxes at once. Please note that this macro is not officially supported by Articulate.
Wonderful, Margot! Thanks very much for the update
I hope you have a great day!
