I have a client who's quizzes are not tracking and he can't resume where he left off. We are using Moodle 2.0.3 as our LMS. I logged in as an admin and then viewed a few slides as him. I then checked the progress, it was tracking fine on my computer.
Yea...I have logged in as him and it tracked fine. As for the SCORM limit, we had an issue before with the buffer size which has since been increase to allow for more data to be stored. (I hope that makes sense as I am only repeating what I have been told and don't really know what I am speaking about! LOL....)
We are tracking via the quiz......
It sounds like a browser issue on his end. I say that because it tracked my movement. My next step would be do the module adn take the quiz, then check.....
More to come I'm sure...if anybody has anything else, ping it here!
depends on the browser, but I would look to see javascript is enabled (to be honest I dont think moodle would work at all for him if it was disabled) and check the security level he is running at, I am on a mac at the moment and there does not seem to be much javascript oprtions in firefox. But i am sure there are more in IE
If users have javascript disabled - or their browser doesn't support it, the SCORM module will display a nice error and completely prevent them from accessing it.

Hi Dave
have you tried logging in as him and doing the whole course, it may be you are hitting the maximum limit of characters for scorm 1.2.
How large is the course?, are you tracking a quiz or slides viewed
Phil

Hi Dave
yes make sense, sounds like the problem is at his end, needs to check his javascript security settings as that is how it is passed back to the lms
I would complete the module then you have confirmed its not your problem, ask him to use a different browser and to update flash
Is he using IE9 I have heard scorm issue with IE9, ask him to use compatibility mode if that is the case
Phil
Cheers Phil......sounds like a plan.
What settings would I be looking for?

Unfortunately Moodle stills "displays" the SCORM if JS isn't enabled - it should display a warning but that isn't usually enough for users.
2.0 has a new setting called "forcejavascript" under admin > plugins > activity Modules > SCORM
- it's disabled by default but I'm thinking about changing that....
Hey Dan,
I found it and ticked the box.....what exactly will or will it not now do?
Cheers mate!,
Dave

Brilliant....thanks Dan.
Nice to see you here by the way.....I'm quite familiar with your on the Moodle site.
Cheers,
Dave
QUICK UPDATE
The client has Explorer 9. I hope this helps you help me!

Dave
