I have slide numbers <#> in my PowerPoint. Works perfectly, except when I make the Articulate course. Then it only says <#> on each slide. The numbers won't appear! I was forced to insert each one manually. The slide master, number insertion option does not translate to Articulate.
I have seen this happen with another user. Please be sure that you have added a footer to the layout in your slide master, but then you must go back to Slide View, Header & Footer, Slide Number, and Apply to All.
I have been using Articulate for a 1.4 years, so i am a customer. I am not
a pro.
I have had other problems trying to figure out integration with
sharepoint, etc.

Hi Tan! If you are following the instructions shared above and still experiencing an issue, you are welcome to share the Articulate Package if you'd like me to take a look.
Daniel - Just wanted to mention that replying to the forums via e-mail attaches your signature, but you are welcome to pop in and edit if you'd like.
Hi Leslie! I was able to figure it out and get the slide numbers to display. Basically, with the main Master slide layout selected. I went to Master Layout in Master View, then checked the Slide Number box, then went to each individual slide layout under the main Master and checked the Footers box in the Master Layout ribbon. This was after completing the other steps listed in Support.
Glad you were able to get it working Tan and thanks for sharing what worked for you. I'm not sure that I'm aware of a user that had to do the extra steps you mentioned.

I'm experiencing the same issue with PowerPoint 2010 slide numbers reverting to the <#> when previewing in Articulate Presenter '13.
Is there a workaround to getting the numbers to display correctly, or do slide numbers need to be added manually?
I took out the slide numbers entirely and just rely upon the menu of time
clock above
to help people figure out where they are.
Thanks Daniel. Is this a known bug in Articulate? Or just another software mystery...

I think it was due to the complexity of our corporate template :)
Ah, thanks for sharing Tan.
