Slide Properties causing Presenter to crash

Articulate AP6.exe keeps crashing when in slide properties.
I am making changes to the branching and all seems ot be fine...and then I notice that the zoom image is bringing up a different slide image to the one I am looking at - it is at this point I know that something weird has happened and that i am about to have a problem saving. Then when trying to save the changes it goes back to PPT but it gets stuck. I have to use task manager to close the AP6.exe file...and then as a result all slide properties changes are lost.
I have tried both fixing the installation and removing completely and reinstalling but it still keeps happening.
Any ideas?

Hi Robin!
Sorry about the frustration. There is a known issue with Slide Properties being left open for an extended period of time. The work-around at this time is to save and close your Slide Properties every 10 minutes or so. If the issue persists despite the work-around, please feel free to Create an Articulate Presenter Package and upload the zip file to us. One of our awesome support engineers will be happy to assist with further troubleshooting. You can submit your case here:

Please include any pertinent information, including system specs and software versions when submitting your case, and also please feel free to record your case number here so that I can follow it personally. Thanks!
After experiencing the same issue and reading these entries, I've been trying to create and ARticulate Presenter Package, but the file keeps freezing up at the point when I click on the button "Articulate Package." HELP!
Thanks,
Victoria
Welcome to Heroes, Victoria!
Sorry for the trouble you're experiencing. Is your project file pretty large? If that article isn't helpful, please feel to contact our support staff for additional troubleshooting. Thanks!
I'm also having the same problem, five years later, with Articulate 360. When I open slide layer properties, I can't close the dialog box and the changes don't seem to "take". I'm not using extensive layers - just two. It doesn't matter what settings I use - the dialog box freezes - but I can still work on the file. Any new suggestions?
Hi there Robin,
Sorry you're running into this! This is a Presenter thread, but it sounds like you're using Storyline since you mentioned using layers. Is that correct?
Is this happening in every project file, or just one in particular? If it's just the one file, try importing the slides into a new file to see if that helps any.
If it's happening in multiple files, can you tell me a bit more about your set-up? What Windows operating system are you using? We have found that if you're using Windows 7, you'll want to enable the Aero theme. You can also try running a repair to fix the problem.
Let me know how you make out!
Thanks for the help. It is a Storyline 360 problem. (I clicked the Storyline filter when I searched for a solution, so I didn’t double check the topic. Sorry.)
It doesn’t happen everytime. And now the Slide Layer Properties box won’t close either – although that doesn’t crash the program (I can still save and edit.) Both problems seem to go away when I close and reopen – but for the slide properties, it’s a problem because it prevents me from saving. (I try to save constantly, anyway.)
I’m using Windows 10 Enterprise with a 64 bit operating system on a Surface Book.

Hello Robin - Does your device meet the system requirements specified here? Did you try the repair that Alyssa shared above as that typically alleviates issues.
I also wanted to mention that replying to the forums via e-mail attaches your signature. You are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
Thanks, Leslie - the system has all the requirements. I did try the import, but haven't had a chance to work on the course yet.
I appreciate all of your help! You are really heroes!
Thanks Robin - Just let us know if we can further assist.
