I was given a pptx file and I tried publishing it using Articulate when I received this error. I have tried saving it with a different file name in a different folder and I'm still getting the same error.
Storyline does not have to play in to this at all. Are you saying that you are only trying to share a PPT? What version of Office are you utilizing? How is the file being shared? Your error is pointing to a ppta file, which indicates Presenter elements or that it was sent as a package.
The pptx was shared via email and I'm using Office 2007. All I see on the slides are images and powerpoint elements. Unfortunately I can't share it because it contains proprietary information.
I suppose I'll just have to rebuild the presentation.

Hi CO!
Do you have Studio '09 and perhaps the user that sent you this utilizes Studio '13? The files are not compatible.
That's exactly what we have.
But I am only working on the PowerPoint presentation without any Storyline elements.

I would try to delete the associated ppta file first. That may help with the issue that you are experiencing.
That's the first thing I did before creating this thread. Same result.
For some reason, it's referring to a ppta that does not exist.
PM sent in regards to your proprietary file.
Hello. Reviving a thread here.
Got the error again. Sent you a pm Leslie. Hopefully you can tell me what the problem is.
Thanks CO, I received your file.
