I am having trouble with the Sync Animations option in Presenter. In some of my pesentations, when I go to set animations, the number of animations is correct but the first animation already shows on the screen and the last animation takes me to the next slide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I looked at all of these things and I am still randomly having the issue. When I launch the sync animations option, the proper number of "clicks" are represented but the first animation is already revealed. I am only using simple "appear" animations and so when my audio starts, I have tried holding back on the first click and I have tried pretending that the reveal hasn't happened, but when I get to my last "click" it takes me to the next slide. I have noticed that this only happens in some of my slide decks, and not all of them. I am trying to figure out if there is some pattern to which PC I built or edited the slide decks on as I work on multiple PC's. Ultimately I am wondering why some work and some don't. I cannot figure out the pattern. Grrrrrrrrr
I'm having the exact same issue. I've found a few posts here about the Slide Master causing issues like this, but none of them have been helpful in resolving the issue. It seems to me to be a bug in Articulate.
Would you like to send us your files so we can take a closer look and pinpoint the issue? If so, please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. Thanks!
When in doubt, I use PowerPoints animation timeline. It's never failed me yet!
And if I say, want to use some of the non-supported animations, like the 3D ones, I create it in a new PPT file, export that slide animation set to a wmv ( I am using Office 2010), then convert, and import as FLV.

Hi again, Richard!
For issues with animations, a good place to start would be to refer to this blog entry here:

And while Presenter supports the vast majority of PowerPoint animations, it does not support them all. For a list of supported animations, please see:

You also may find that your animations are not synchronized as expected if all the following criteria are true:
This is a known issue. You can avoid this issue in either of the following ways:
Hope that's helpful! Let us know...

How are you moving the files from one PC to another when working on them?
Tom,
I typically do it through a local network drive or when working remotely through dropbox.com. Do you think this may be the problem?
