Unable to sync animations with imported audio files .wav
Aug 20, 2012
Good afternoon,
I can't syn my animations to my .wav imported audio files. Recording was done using Audacity.
I've read a lot of posts that included solutions, however, none of them work.
I've also tried the Add annotations fonction, but it doesn't work either.
Is it because I imported .wav audio files instead of recording my audio directly from Articulate Presenter ?
When I click on Articulate, Sync animations, it askes me to save the presentation, to which I do. And then, when I click again to sync, nothing happens.
My regional settings are okay. I've saved my presenation on my local drive (C:\Articulate ) and short named it Zoom.
I have PPT 2003 and working on Windows XP.
I've never had this issue before. The only thing I can come up with is that the recording was done with Audacity. And re-recording is not an option.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Julie,
After saving the presentation you need to go to a slide and import the audio into that slide, then save and then you can sync the animations to that audio.

@Gregory,
I tried that, and it still doesn't work.
OK when you preview the slide does the audio play?
@Gregory
Yes, the audio plays when I preview the slides.
Well that is a problem which I would refer to the Articulate folkls. It could be a corrupt project file, Try opening a new project with a test slide, then import your audio. If it still doesn't work you could try re-installing Articulate, or maybe updating Powerpoint, 2003.
2003 is really old and could have an issue. Although XP is old too so make sure the new Powerpoint works with it or you'll be updating your Ooperating system as well.
Hope that helps
Greg
@Gregory.
Yes, I've already tried opening a new project with a test slide, but that didn't work either.
Would you know how to refer this case to Articulate?
