Zip help please
Dec 07, 2011
I am unable to save a zip file to my laptop. In the past, it was a simple click zip (after course successfully published to web), confirm location, confirm file name, and then the zip file would appear (along with the original PowerPoint presentation and the articulate presenter file).
All the sudden, today when I click zip (after course successfully published to web), confirm location, confirm file name, and then Ok my laptop displays the folder I saved the zip too however, no zip file. just the original PowerPoint presentation and the articulate presenter file.
No error message nothing.

it may be the path length of the zip file, I think it cannot be longer than 256 characters, try saving to your desktop
Phil - that worked! Thank you so much. I was able to save the zip file to my desktop.
But now there is a new issue. In the past I simply opened the zip file to display the data, player and HTML file. Clicked on the player.html file and the course launched without any trouble.
I just opened the zip file, found the data and player folders and the player.html file. However, when I selected the HTML file I received and error message I have never received before...
WinZip Caution:
this file has a potentially unsafe file type of HTML:
when i hit yes (to answer do you still want to open this file?) a blank browser window appears. Instead of the course launching. Any ideas for this problem?
I think you used the player.html from the publsihed folder, the zip would never play unless you extracted it fully, normally the zip file would be created in the published directory, just choose open folder from the publish dialogue and then double click the player.html file
Thank you Phil!!! You are a life saver. You just turned my day around! Thank you for reading my post and responding so quickly.
Have a wonderful day and Holiday!!
Marcey.
Thank you, glad everything is sorted
Phil
