Hyperlink Bugs in Quizmaker Question Feedback text
Apr 23, 2012
I can't get the hyperlinks to work in the feedback section of the questions. Very erratic behavior. The client is requesting two separate hyperlinks, to external websites to open in a new browser, in each Correct and Incorrect feedback. I can test each hyperlink in the hyperlink window using the TEST button and they work just fine. Save the links and Preview and immediately there is a problem where the second link doesn't work. Same problem after publishing. This needs to publish to LMS, but I've also tested it as published to CD and Web and get the same results. The first hyperlink seems to be retained and working properly, but the second one either disappears completely - or you have to move your mouse to the "right" of the actual hyperlinked text, where there is no text at all. For some insane reason the active link ends up somewhere other than on the text where it was stored. When I try to go into 'Edit Hyperlink' - sometimes the URL is there and sometimes it isn't. Help?

Hi Tonna,
Sorry for the trouble. Do you want to send us the .QUIZ file so we can take a closer look? Thanks!
Thank you Peter. I just uploaded a mini version of the file. Issue can be found post-publish in both the Correct and Incorrect feedback pop-ups on text "this link" - you have to hover to the right of this text to find the active hyperlink. It appears that the issue may occur when the hyperlink is the last thing on the line, the hyperlink isn't aligned where it should be.
Thanks for the details, Tonna. Looks like we've received it, and someone will be contacting you shortly.
Hi again, Tonna!
Looks like Gren was able to resolve the issue by creating a new Quizmaker file, then importing your questions to the new quiz,
applying your Player Template, and then re-publishing the new quiz.
Just wanted to share for others who may encounter a similar issue.
Thanks!
Hi Peter! Yes, Gren did help me to resolve the issue as you described. In doing some testing, it seems when you try to reuse the template again for another new quiz, the hyperlinks become corrupted again. But this is not an issue if I rephrase the sentence so that the hyperlink is not the last thing on the line. Either way I'm good to go.
You guys are great! thank you so much for the help!
Awesome, Tonna! Thanks so much for the update! We really appreciate it
