LMS not reading score for failed courses

Nov 04, 2013

I have created courses in Articulate and uploaded them into my company's LMS (Halogen). At the end of our courses, there is a quiz and we have the settings set to allow the learner to retry the quiz three times. When I publish the course, I was selecting LMS Reporting to Report status to LM as Completed/Incomplete.

For courses that a learner has passed and completed, our LMS is completing them and recording the score. For courses that our learner completes but fails, our LMS is keeping them in an enrolled status and not recording the score. Is there something in Articulate that is not sending the failed score over?

I have tried to adjust the "Report status to LMS as" to Completed/Failed but have received the same result. Our LMS (Halogen) is not recording the score and not recognizing a failed course.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Merlyn,

Are the settings to retry the quiz up to three times set within your LMS or within Quizmaker? You may want to begin by reviewing this article on troubleshooting common LMS issues, specifically the section on testing it within SCORM Cloud. If you're not able to replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud, you'll want to share those results with your LMS team. If SCORM Cloud is still not reporting as you'd like, are you able to share the .quiz file here with us or the Presenter/Storyline course that it's a part of? If you'd prefer to share privately you're able to submit to us here.
