I have created an online course with a final assessment at the end.
I gave them 2 attempts to pass the assessment. If they fail, they are redirected to the beginning of the course and I want them to be able to retake the assessment. The problem is: because they have already taken the course 2 times, they are not able to take the course anymore. Is there a possibility to reopen the quiz after they have reviewed the entire course?
Hi Cindy, that's a great question. Your options are a bit more limited in Studio 360.
The "Finish" button on the Failure layer can take the learner back to the first content slide. However, once they reach the quiz again, it will not be reset. It will still show the results slide until the user chooses to Retry the quiz.
Since you're using Articulate 360, are you limited to using Studio 360 for this course? If not, Storyline 360 would be a better fit since you can create a customized learning path like the one you had in mind.
You can see that the Retry button has been enabled on the Result Slide and a Retry variable has been added that will increment on Retry.
The variable controls which slide the user returns to and once they've used their retries, they are directed back to Slide 1 where the variable is reset as well.
Hi, I have a question in a similar vein. We are updating our course in Rise360 and then exporting to our LMS. We typically charge a retake fee. I'm wondering if we were to grant 2 attempts, if the admin could disable and re-enable the "retry button" until the fee is paid? I know logistics would depend on our LMS but would the export allow settings to customize settings per individual user?

Hi Alyssa, thanks for your response. Indeed I'm not limited to Studio but I am not that good in storyline so I would need some guidance to build it.
In studio, I have indicated in my "failure result slide" - 1 attempt, then they are directed to the entire course.
What would be your suggestion to reset the number of attempts once they review the entire course in storyline.
Can you please explain how to build it? Is it based on variables on the retry button?

There isn't a way to customize the functionality of the quiz retry button in Rise 360 to work behind a payment system.
