I want to create a matching/memory game in a room environment (background). Users need to match the right numbers to the correct objects, therefore I need a combination of drag and drop (numbers to images) and matching (several correct drags and drops required on one slide or screen). I am thinking points could be deducted for each incorrect drag and drop (I know that's possible).
I am SO hoping that I can create this kind of functionality in Articulate 2 as well as Quizmaker. Do you know if it is possible or would I need to create a quiz in Quizmaker and then import it into Articulate 2?
I have created a drag and drop interaction, but on previewing I've noticed that one of my images used for a target has some unwanted animation applied to it. I don't seem to be able to edit the base layer that contains this image now, though. Is there any way around this block, that will allow me to remove the animation on the drag and drop target without my having to undo work?
Hi Joanna! Are you asking about Storyline now? Are you looking at this in slide view when trying to edit? If you need me to take a look, feel free to share your project file here.
As a short presentation to the St. Louis Storyline Special Interest Group (SIG), I put together small set of custom matching interactions using Freeform Drag and Drop for situations when you want to match images or when you have too much text and the auto-fit settings of the standard Matching interaction aren't helping.
Since it's related, I thought I'd share here in case someone else can make use of the files/ideas:
The source file show examples using images as well as shapes for your matching objects and I've also included an overview of the settings I used for each of interactions. I hope this helps someone who's stuck.
It does look like the files may have been moved on those links Diana previously shared.
I know that she's still active in the forums. You are welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon. Maybe she still has the files.
If not and you need some assistance, please feel free to share what you're working on, and perhaps we can point you to a more recent example/sample file.
@Leslie - it may not be all that impressive... still searching for the source files, and the output file is Flash-based, so it may take few wishes and some unicorn magic before I can share ;-)
@Kalyleigh and @Leslie... Whoo hoo! I had just enough magic to locate the SL2 version of the source file I originally shared. I also edited my original post with the new download link as well.

Hi Joanna! This is absolutely possible if you utilize the Freeform Drag and Drop as shown in this tutorial.
Thanks for the link. That is amazing.

You have the same functionality in Storyline 2 as well.
Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated!

No problem Joanna :)

@ Kayleigh - Let me dig out the source files and repost them.
That's impressive, Diana! Thank you :)
