I am using Animated Gifs in storyline and am trying to sync my audio files with the animation. However, when I preview the slides, the animations and audio do not Sync well. For example, the character is talking in the animated Gif but the audio file is playing later in the preview mode. I have checked the timeline ample number of times on each Slide.
If the behavior persists after checking into those, could you share the .story file here with us so that we could take a look at your set up and see the behavior ourselves?
I checked into the things that you had recommended and they fit well within the specified points.
I also imported it into a Storyline file and but am still facing the Sync issue, when I preview it as a Slide the audio sync is different as opposed to when I preview it as a project and am struggling with what to adjust the timeline with.
Since its for a client so I will send it to you in a private message because of Client confidentiality.
Were you able to resolve this GIF sync issue? It looks like I'm experiencing a similar problem. I have my Gif set to start at 3s in my timeline. When I preview my project, the Gif appears at the 3 second mark when it should, however, the animation plays as if it's already been playing for 3 seconds. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!
I looked into Farrah's case, and it seems that the individual slide preview worked fine, but previewing the entire course was where it showed the delay - and publishing the file worked ok. If you're still experiencing some difficulty have you thought about setting this up in Powerpoint and exporting it out as a video to use in Storyline so you don't have to play around with trying to sync and preview in Storyline?

Hi Farrah and welcome to Heroes!
Since this is occurring while you preview it, I'd check into the following things first:
Have you tried importing the project into a new Storyline file to try and resolve any issues with the file?
If the behavior persists after checking into those, could you share the .story file here with us so that we could take a look at your set up and see the behavior ourselves?
Thanks Ashley!

Appreciate your help.

Hi Farrah,
You mentioned a difference between preview slide and preview the entire item - and I'm curious if one way shows it to you correctly?
I'll send you directions on how to share the file with me privately.

As a reminder, here's how to sync animations, audio and use the cue points in Storyline.
