Articulate mobile publishing options
Oct 02, 2015
I'm weighing up my options for Storyline mobile delivery and have summarised the pros and cons as follows:
HTML5
Pros
· Will work on a SCORM 2004 or 1.2 LMS
· Will run on any platform hosting a supported browser.
Cons
· Restricted functionality (with some exceptions) as detailed in the features table here (http://en-uk.articulate.com/support/storyline/comparing-storylines-flash-html5-and-articulate-mobile-player-output).
· Mandatory browser req. of Chrome or Safari.
· Cannot run off-line
---------------------------------
Articulate App
Pros
· Better functionality (with some exceptions) as detailed in the features table here (http://en-uk.articulate.com/support/storyline/comparing-storylines-flash-html5-and-articulate-mobile-player-output).
· Not reliant on a specific browser
· Can be run off-line
Cons
· Must have an LMS hosting a Tin–Can API (>= ver 0.9)
· App not supported for the iPhone.
---------------------------------
Is this a fair synopsis of my options for content directly published from Articulate Storyline?
Thanks.

Hi Duncan!
I would check out our documentation here on publishing for mobile devices.
Thanks Leslie, I had included that handy doc in my research - I've double checked my facts and am happy that it's a true top line summary, thanks.
Glad to hear it Duncan :)
