Is it possible to downgrade Articulate Storyline from Update 5 to 1 by uninstalling the Articulate Storyline update 5 and re-installing the Articulate Storyline update 1 package?
Is there a particular reason you're looking to downgrade back to update 1? If there is a particular issue you've experience with your course we'd be happy to take a look and see if it's something we can assist in solving or if it needs to be reported to our Quality Assurance team.
The client we work for has not approved to use the Storyline update 5 for publishing, however we have updated our machine to the latest version, we would like to downgrade Storyline update 1 to meet the client requirement.
Looks like the bookmarking is not working in all the versions of Storyline in iPad, however they have found some workaround for Storyline update 1.
If you have the previous installer, you're welcome to do so, but there are a number of fixes that occurred since update 1 that you will not have access to as detailed here. It's also worth noting that we only offer support for the latest point release of products, and Storyline is now on Update 5 as mentioned.
If you'd like us to investigate the issues you're experiencing on your iPad using update 5, that would be something we'd be happy to look into.
Where I work we are using Version 1.0.1208.717. I upgraded to 5 recently but had to downgrade back to the aforementioned version due to client request. I noticed since I downgraded, when I preview or publish a module, the transcript has scroll arrows in the top left corner, above the word menu (and there is no scrollbar) and no verbiage is in the notes section. My colleagues do not have the issue seeing it, only me. The only thing I could think of is that I upgraded and downgraded. I've uninstalled and reinstalled three times now and still am having the same issue. Have you seen this before?
I haven't seen that issue before - are you able to share that file with one of your colleagues to see if the issue is on the file itself or your installation of Storyline? If your colleagues also don't see it, I'd ask for you to conduct the detailed repair steps here which will remove all trace of Storyline and anything problematic. I'd also recommend sharing with your client the reasons why you'd want to use Update 5 - and all those fixes are documented here for you.
