I've published a course for an LMS. The screen shots (2) of the settings I used are below. Theoretically, when the learner completes the course (number of slides) it should be reported back to the LMS. At that point, he or she should be able to click on an icon to take a post course test. Can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions be most appreciated.
Is the icon you're referring to a part of your Storyline course, or within the LMS? If it's a part of the LMS, you may want to reach out to them in regards to how it's not launching as you expected. If it's a button in your course, could you share a bit more information about how you've set this up? I suspect it's on the last slide confirming the users have seen it all - but there isn't a way on that button to see that they've viewed all slides.
No I don't have a button set up on the last slide confirming the users have seen it all. I didn't have an EXIT button in my course (I instructed the learner to close the browser tab) and it worked. The client insisted I add the EXIT button. That's when the problems started.
The Exit button or course trigger can be a bit problematic. For example, our team is aware of an issue where in some cases, an Exit course trigger will send a score of 0% to a learning management system (LMS) when you're tracking the course by the number of slides viewed. (A score should only be sent to the LMS when you're tracking a quiz.)
We're investigating this issue. In the meantime, you can avoid this behavior by closing the browser window when you're finished rather than using an Exit course trigger.
Additionally, the Exit course trigger may not work as expected based on browser security or LMS specific set ups. There are some troubleshooting solutions here.
Nancy's suggestion is also a good one to set it to one less slide (or include a final blank slide that they don't need to see and keep it at 128 now out of 129) so that way the user is set complete based on visiting that slide and then could click the exit button on the final slide or close the browser.

PLEASE tell me how to set up the last slide?
Not sure about the exit button but you could try setting the minimum number of slides viewed to 127 instead of 128. I think that might work.

I would go with what Nancy says, I always set it to 1 less than the maximum number
