Which PC in the price range of 500 to 800 dollars would people recommend for using Storyline. I am considering buying a new PC, as my MacBook Air doesn't meet the systems specifications for Storyline.
Are there any good PC stores in your area? If so, I suggest you go there with the Storyline specs, as well as a list of your own "must haves" for the PC. You might be able to find an adequate refurbished or an older (but still unused) model.
Re: other "must haves": be sure what you buy has the kind of ports you want/need. For example, do you want an Ethernet port? What about a port to connect to a second monitor? How many USB ports do you want?
After researching the issue a bit more, I have decided to raise my budget. If I look at it in terms of a long-term investment, I am willing to spend 1500 or even a bit more, so if you have a favourite PC in that price range, let me know :).
A bigger budget certainly gives you more options. I've only owned two PCs. The first was an HP Elitebook, which I used for 7 years. But it had gotten so sluggish with Windows10 that I bought a new PC this year. This time, I got a Dell Latitude 5491. Not the fanciest model, but it has an Ethernet port, and I prefer to stay wired for internet.
I consulted with my tech-savvy nephew before my recent purchase. Here's a summary of his recommendations:
Definitely get a full solid-state drive (not a hybrid).
Get Intel i5 (or higher), 9th or 10th generation (but 7th gen or higher is okay).
He doesn't see much difference between the big brands (which he listed as "HP, Lenovo, Dell, etc.").
Many thanks to you and your nephew! Also thanks for you input and advice on my crediting sources post. I really appreciate your help. I also bought a Dell, can't wait to get started with my free trial of storyline :).

If you don't live near that kind of store, try online, such as MicroCenter (https://www.microcenter.com/).

Good luck!
