Building graphics in Photoshop, then importing them into Storyline2 are small
Mar 17, 2016
Hello,
This is just a curious question out to Storyline 2 developers that use Photoshop for creating their graphics. I open a print screen of the template into Photoshop. Then I build my graphics around the stage size. I've tried many different resolutions (72, 96, 150 dpi). Then I export my graphics to a .png file format or a .jpg at the highest quality possible. I've played around with different file formats and different resolutions, but no matter what I do, the pixel size when imported into Storyline is correct, but the image always looks so small on my stage. I always have to scale them in storyline. Does anyone know why this is happening or has a rule for building and importing graphics into Storyline? Would love to learn how to do this correctly.
Thanks,
Nadja

Hi Christie,
I'm trying to find out if Storyline supports .psd files.
Thank you!
Sarah
Hello Sarah,
Great question, but that one is not on our list. That's an image file from Photoshop, right?
Storyline supports the following image formats:
I hope that helps :)
I've noticed this problem too. Why is the imported graphic smaller in storyline?
My DPI settings are set to 100% too.
Hi Mike,
Sounds like you are asking about the original question posted here, but we did not hear back from the original author to further troubleshoot.
Would you be able to share an image file that you are experiencing this behavior with and what version of Storyline you are using?
Hi Leslie,
I tried looking for the image that had the issue, I can't remember which one it was. If I can find one that has the problem, I will send it over. I know I have seen this happen on numerous occasions though.
Mike
Thanks Mike :) You know where to find us.
