I was playing around with something and I wanted to set a state of an item on my slide after x seconds... but cannot figure out if and how I could do that...
Try this: Add a rectangle but off the slide so your learner doesn't see it. Set the rectangle to start on your timeline at x seconds. Then set a trigger on the rectangle. "Change state of [item] to [NewState] when Timeline begins on rectangle"
That is a clever trick, but I agree with Jeff that you should be able to change the state of an item simply by selecting a time for the change to occur.

Clever! I like it... will go and try that...
Super. I will try that.......
Meryem, it works perfectly!
Best Storyline trick.
Would be nice tough if I wouldn't need a trick and could just say "take action X when Timeline is X seconds"...
Yup.
Feature request time.
