I created a demo a couple months ago using the trial version of Stroyline. We have since purchased licenses, but when I try to open the demo I get the following message: " This project cannot be opened. It may have been created in a newer version of Storyline."
As far as I know there is only one version of Stroyline and I haven't seen any posts go by from people saying they couldn't open content which was developed using the trial version. Any work arounds? Help pls!
Interesting that you cannot also open the story file with 7Zip, which you should be able to do. You get a error message about cannot open file [Filename] as archive from 7zip.
According to the 7Zip FAQ: "In 99% of these cases it means that the archive contains incorrect headers." Wonder if that is the source of corruption here? (And cannot yet find a utility to fix the headers.)
I've been getting this same message on some of my projects when I double-click on the file name in Windows Explorer to open them - (launching storyline at the same time as opening the project.) However, if I launch Storyline first, then browse to the file and open the projects that way they have all opened properly for me.

Lovely... we had a server crash about a month ago so that must be the reason. Sigh! Thanks for your help.

I'm having this problem with the Storyline Trial which I will use for a few weeks while my company works out the licenses. Any ideas?
