Can you create additional guides?
May 27, 2013
Articulate Storyline has horizontal and vertical guides - one of each. View > Guides >
They are like crosshairs by default, but you can click-and-drag them around.
What I want to know is, can you create additional guides, or are you limited to only one vertical and one horizontal?
I want to use guides to create margins and columns for my courses, to keep slide layout neat and consistent.
I guess the best way to do this is create a master slide template with everything in the right position.
Still it would be nice to have at least a left- and right-hand margin guide.
Tips?

By holding the CTRL key as you drag a guide, it will create a duplicate. You can create as many of these as you like.
Genius!
Thanks - been bugging me!
I know how to create additional guides but I've seemed to have lost my vertical guide all together. How do I make a guide our of scratch? How do I just make a new one?
Hi Carlos
have you looked right off screen to the left and right (I've lost them this way before )
If only we could lock the guides so you can't accidentally grab one when you're trying to move something else. And to make matters worse there is no undo for a guide move so getting one back where it belongs can be tricky if you haven't written down the positions.
But here's a cool tip: Insert lines on the master slides to be guides and set the initial state to hidden. You can still see the lines on the slides but they're hidden when you publish. This also has the advantage of having different "guides" for different slide masters.
Great tip Brett — thanks for sharing. I'll be using that one
Thanks everybody, I zoomed out all the way and it was sitting in on the edge. lol
Thanks for the update Carlos!
