Change in slied after publishing

Hi can anyone advise me on why a slide layer would change from a light image to a dark image after being published.

In preview mode the layers come up as per my settings and image transition amounts. When published they go change to a much darker image and influence the text to be more difficult to read.

I have attached screen shots of the image pre publish and post publish.

Any thoughts appreciated
