Controlling Visibility within a Scroll Panel
Jun 16, 2014
Can you control visibility from within a scroll panel?
I have some buttons that I have tied to some variables. When the variables adjust, they change state. One of these states is the Hidden state. The buttons are within a scroll panel. The code worked previously before I inserted them into a scroll panel but not that they are nested inside the scroll panel, the code doesn't work. I even manually set their initial state to hidden in SL and it still didn't seem to matter because I still see them when publishing. Is it possible to control visibility within a scroll panel?

I did a quick test (see attached) and it works for me; I can change the state of a button in a scrolling panel.
very helpful, thx!
Sadly, the scroll panel doesn't seem to dynamically resize based on visible content...meaning, using it as a menu holder with some buttons hidden at bottom will still leave a scrollable area even though there's nothing in view. If anyone knows differently, please let me know. Thx!
