Custom Font - letters missing
Aug 06, 2020
Hi all,
I am sure there is already a post for this but I just still can't find the right answer. Each of the business in my group have their own branding guidelines, including fonts. When I create a Storyline, I usually use the font based on their branding guideline, which sometimes are not the windows system default fonts.
Some users cannot see the exact font that I selected and letter 'f' is missing. I thought fonts are actually embedded onto the Storyline and not depending on whether the user have that font installed onto their device?? If fonts are not embedding, does it mean I should always use a common windows font, such as Times New Roman?
Thanks
Anthony

Hi Anthony, I believe fonts are supposed to be embedded, or rendered SVG I
think (text isn't actually selectable). When you view after publishing can
you see everything as intended. It might be worth investigating if
different browsers are giving different results too.
Hello Anthony,
Thanks for reaching out!
Custom fonts should get embedded in the published output. Learners will need to check that their browsers allow for font downloads to ensure they display correctly.
This resource about missing letters covers everything you need to know if that's the case:
