Deployment Issue
Feb 19, 2015
Hi Folks,
We have a project that requires two deployment types, one SCORM via LMS and another via CD (no internet connection).
We have audio and video in the course. The web version runs as intended on multiple browsers.
When we run the CD version through the player exe the audio and video is working as intended on Windows machines but our client also needs to support the CD version on Mac. Is there an articulate offline player for Mac?
We have tried running the HTML file that is output with the CD version in Safari and most of the course plays but the Video screens are blank.
Is there a work around for this or is there no way to support viewing Storyline courses in Safari locally on a Mac?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi Dennis,
The Mac won't be able to play the .exe file as the publish to CD option creates a flash version that will play locally. You mentioned you tried running the story.html files - what type of video files are you using? You'll see how video files are encoded here based on your published output - have you tested other video files in Safari?
I would run the HTML5 version on the mac which should show the videos
Of course this is not produced when you publish to CD, so publish to Web with html5 enabled and then copy and paste the additional files from the CD version to the web folder then burn that to your CD
