Design Resource Suggestions
Oct 25, 2012
Hey, all!
I'm looking to tighten up the design of my e-learning courses. There's so much stuff out there, and I'm not sure what is useful for e-learning. I'd like to get suggestions on the folliwing:
- Color wheels / charts
- Typography poster / charts
- User Interface design books
- Plus, any other resources you think a designer should need
I have quite a few books on visual design after doing some print media, but I'd love to know what you guys are using!
Thanks!

Something I do that is free. Sometimes when I'm vegging and watching TV, I'll look on how shots are framed or how visuals are being used or animated or colored. Strangely, commercials are often best for this.
Or, something like WWE wrestling. Lot of neat things being done visually. A lot of overkill sometimes but sometimes very instructive and inspiring.
That's a good idea, Gerry. I try to keep an eye out for good commercials, as they tend to do a decent job. Never considered wrestling.
I use these 2 sites to help me understand color relationships:
