Disable Next button... tried all different ways but none seem to work!

I have a main navigation page with eight buttons that send the learner to other slides to learn more. I want the next button hidden until they've visited all the slides associated with each button.

So, I've tried creating a trigger that wants the State of buttons 2,4,5,6,7,8,9 to be Visited before making the Next button normal.

I've tried the same setup using Selected instead.

I've created a trigger that needs the variables 2,4,5,6,7,8,9 each to be changed from a value of 0 to 1 in order to show the Next button. (Each of the 8 variables is changed to 1 upon visiting the first slide of each section and the timeline starting.)

None of them seem to work!

I was also wanting a small direction box to appear under the same conditions so that the learner is alerted to the appearance of the Next button and knows what to do.

Ideas?

The attached file is a little out of proportions but it's the triggers and such I'd like you to look at.
