Display Storyline/Rise course on touchscreen TV
Aug 28, 2019
Hi,
I have several courses (some Rise, some Storyline) that my company is planning to display at a congress on large touch screen TVs where the aim is to get stand visitors to run through the course before they go home and complete it for professional development. We are unsure of internet connection and reliability as their is the potential to have thousands in attendance hence going for an offline version.
As advised elsewhere on the website for offline use I've published to "CD" and uploaded the files onto a USB stick, but I'm unable to load these through the TV. They work fine offline on tablets and laptops I'm guessing as they have HTML/browser capabilities.
Has anyone else had experience of having to do this? Does anyone have any suggestions of what else might work before we have to explore other options?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Matthew, yes the TV I'm testing on in the office has a web browser built in. However, when I open the USB on the TV no HTML files are shown (but they do show when I load it through a laptop).
My guess is the browser on the smart TV is only internet enabled, not offline... I've heard people talk about developing storyline content for kiosks, but I'm not sure if those are offline or online applications...
