I have a variable that I need to change the name of. I select the Manage Variables button and I am presented with a list of my variables. I then select the one I want to edit but find the only option that is 'live' is the add new variable option. The 'edit' button gives no indication of being 'live' or of doing anything when I try to click on it.

I can't replicate the problem as I have since got around it by deleting the results slide from the scene, importing the modified scene, and then adding a new results slide. I found that in SL2 I was offered the chance to say which results should be included for that particular results slide, and hence no need to rename the variable.

Hmmm. That's odd. The Edit button should be available. Have you tried instead clicking on the variable once to make it "editable?
