I would like to create a 3-d animated sequence, to demonstrate a process students need to learn, and then embed it within my Articulate 2 project. Which animation products are compatible with Articulate 2 and how would I embed the file so that it runs automatically?
There are lots of 3D animation tools available, from the free (e.g. Blender) to the industrial-strength e.g. Maya). As long as your tool can render a sequence to some video format, you can then import that into SL. You can also render your 3D scene as a bitmap sequence, and then create a SL object with custom states so that you can interact with the 3d model/scene. See an example here. Finally, tools like Unity3D let you create 3D animatins and export them in an online format, so that you can display and interact with a model/scene via a SL webobject.

Hi Joanne,
I don't know of a particular animation product which we've noted as compatible, but these file formats are natively supported in Articulate Storyline:
The following file formats are converted to MP4 in Storyline:
So you'll want to look at a product that can export or publish to one of those formats to include in your file.

Thanks for your comments, which are very helpful. :D
