Error Message Help

Hi, I've had repeated issues seeing the following error message when trying to open my projects: The File "insert name here" is being used by another process or you do not have the proper security permission to access this resource. 

These projects are saved on a saved folder with my company and I am always connected to their wireless or wireless VPN when trying to work. I have updated Storyline, reinstalled, restarted my computer, and tried restoring a previous version of the project. 

Any insight?

Hi Jeanna!

It sounds like your Storyline files are saved to a network drive, is that right? Saving to a network drive can cause unexpected things to happen, so we always recommend saving to your local computer instead. 

You can always save a backup copy to your network drive, if you'd like! Just be sure to move it to your local drive before opening it.

Try moving your file to your local computer, and let me know if that helps!
