FLVs in Storyline

Hi
I've created a project and imported all my video files as FLVs instead of MP4s, following some instructions from Storyline that specified that FLVs would be treated differently by the player.
However, the output is full of MP4s, not FLVs.
Is there something I'm missing here?
The reason I switched to FLV was to avoid the need for the player to load all files completely before playing.
It seems that Storyline has converted the videos straight back to Mp4s?

Hi Luke
this article here says
FLV video: simple or alpha?
Simple .flv video will be converted to .mp4, so your video will play across output types. But what about .flv video with an alpha channel? If you have an .flv video file with an alpha channel, it will work fine without converting to .mp4 in both the normal Storyline output as well as with the Articulate Mobile Player. However, if you plan to use HTML5 output, Storyline will convert your video to an .mp4 format in order to play properly.
and this article describes how/what is converted
Thanks Wendy
As far as I know there's no alpha channel on these videos. I'm not sure how to check it, trying to find out. Thanks for the helpful suggestion though, again!
Yes I've checked and there's no alpha channel, and I've also deselected HTML5 output, so can't see why it's converting to MP4.
In the doco it says it will be converted to MP4 - perhaps Articulate can explain the 'why'
A MP$ will progressively download so you should have no problem.
Any idea why we're getting the grey exclamation mark of death in that case? We thought maybe it was the pressure of loading up too many video files at the same time.
Hi there Luke,
Can you tell me a bit more about when you're seeing the grey exclamation mark--is it when you're testing the published content? First you'll want to be sure you're testing the published content in it's intended environment, and you'll want to be sure the latest version of Adobe Flash player is installed. If everything checks out there and you're still having trouble, shoot us a copy of your .story file here, and we'll take a closer look.
