Glossary CSV import prevents published product from opening

Oct 14, 2022

I imported a glossary as a CSV file into a Storyline 360 project, published it to Review 360 and it refused to open.  I tested the project file prior to publishing by previewing the first slide, it refused to open, neither would any other slide when previewed.  I opened a separate project which did not have the CSV file imported and it both previewed and published correctly.  I then imported the CSV file into it, previewed and published and it refused to open.

I then deleted all but one of the glossary entries, republished to 360 Review and the project opened.  I reimported the glossary CSV file published again to Review 360 and it refused to open. I then deleted all the glossary entries and republished the file to 360 Review and the project opened normally.

I then reimported the CSV file, and then exported it. I deleted the glossary, saved and closed the project, reopened it and imported the CSV file I had exported previously.  After publishing, the project refused to open.

So, could there be a glossary size limit that is preventing my project opening?

Hi Joe,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.

Looks like there is something in your CSV file, maybe an invalid entry or characters, that is preventing your course from previewing or publishing successfully when it is imported.
