Greater Than or Equal Sign in Notes

I am experiencing an issue. I am trying to put a ≥ (greater than or equal to sign) into my notes. The sign appears inside storyline, but when I preview or publish the symbol does not render. The original font is Arial, and I've tried both verdana and Articulate fonts.
I have tried entering it with an alt code
I have tried entering it with Insert>Symbol.
I then tried creating a blank document as a test. I've attached this. It is one blank slide that should read 5 ≥5 in the notes. I does not render on my machine.
Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution to have this symbol show?

Hi Chris!
Thanks for posting this. Special symbols and subscript will be handled much better in the next update of Storyline, which we'll be releasing soon. Please subscribe to our Word of Mouth blog to be the first to hear of product news and everything else Articulate. Thanks!
