Help with adding a web object

I'm trying to add a web object to a slide. The web object is a link to an internal web page. I followed the steps in the tutorials, but this gray box appears on the slide:
How can I get this to work, so that instead of this gray box, I can get the URL text to appear and open a new tab with the web page when the user clicks on the URL text?

In editing mode you will not see the actual web page. You need to publish to see the actual URL.

Looks like Michael has popped in to assist you here, just thought I'd share some documentation as well for you or anyone that may run across this thread in the future.
If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. See this article for details.

Only to Articulate, due to confidentiality. What is the alternative upload site? The usual one that tech support gives us doesn't work here (probably due to the security restrictions here).
Problem solved.
I tried creating a hyperlink (which is what I tried doing originally, but it didn't work, and it works just fine now. Have no idea what happened previously, which is why I tried creating a web object.
