I am currently developing a presentation with multiple markers in each slide. I would like to mandate that all markers need to be visited before advancing to the next slide. I've read and experimented with the trigger wizard but am having trouble figuring-out this dilemma. Help!
Most people would suggest you employ a variable to count up the marker visits, then trigger based on the numeric variable reaching N where N is the number of markers.
Brian, thank you for responding. Do you mean assign a variable to the marker or add a new variable? If I click on the marker in the variable section I see the following options: Name, Type, Value. I am selecting the marker, the type is greyed-out, "text" is selected, and the value is pre-assigned. What values should I select for the trigger in Action, Slide, When, & Object (marker _)? Apparently, I'm totally confused. Thanks again for your help.
You'd need to create a global numeric variable with an initial value of zero. Then, create click triggers on your slide for each marker and have the trigger adjust the value of the global variable.
Using variables is certainly an option, although you would need one variable per marker, otherwise you could repeatedly click the same marker and increase the variable to whatever value. Another option could be to add a Visited state to each marker and then check that each marker is in Visited. See attached a quick example.
