Hello. I have a course with six sections. I want to show a "Completed" graphic over each menu item when the learner has completed that section. I have created a Completed Layer for each item on the menu, but I don't know how to have it appear when the learner reaches the end of the specified section. Could you please help? Thanks!
Variables are going to be your friends for this. Once you understand it and are able to use it you can pretty much do what you want! Here's a video tutorial from Articulate that very helped me out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL0XMgnzBcc
Just a thought; instead of layers, would you be able to use states for each of those tabs? Then you could let Storyline do most of the work for you.
If each tab has a visited state that includes your graphic, Storyline will know to change the tab to appear completed once your users click on it. If your slide is set to "resume saved state," your learners will see "completed" when they come back to the menu slide.

Hi Anne
Are the six sections accessed by going to different slides or are they layers on the one slide?
The six sections are on different slides. They completed layers are all on the menu slide.
I have viewed the variables tutorials and it looks like I have everything set correctly, but the layers are not showing. Any advice?
Hi Anne! Can you share your .story file?

Hi Anne,
Could you attach your file here? That way the community can see what you have set up so far and point you in the right direction.
You can attach it by opening the thread and using the "add attachment" button.
