How to remove the bevel Storyline3 puts arround the "Slide" arrea in a published course?

Thanks so much for including that screenshot. It looks like you might be viewing the published project locally--do you see the bevel around the slide area when you view the project on a web server or LMS? If so, would you mind sharing your original Storyline 2 file with us? We'd like to test the upgrade to Storyline 3 on our end. 

In regards to customizing the video controls, you could create your own custom play/pause buttons and place them on top of the default video control bar.  I hope that helps!

I already found a workaround to the "bevel" issue by going through all the slides and resetting the background which seem to fix the problem. I'll try to import another of our projects and Upgrade it to Storyline3 today and test if the newly generated file is without the "bevel" problem when playing from the web-server and send you a sample for your QA team.

Regarding the colors of the video controls I found a workaround by manually editing the generated main.min.css file and replacing it, so I can get the customized video controls.

I confirmed that the "bevel" is still present when viewing the published module from web server in Firefox, Chrome,  Edge and IE (couldn't test Safari).

Attaching the test/sample .story file for you - left only 2 question in the Question bank, so the file is not too big, but it doesn't matter for the "bevel" issue - it's still present.

Thanks for including your Storyline 3 file here. I can definitely see the "bevel" you described, and it's interesting that this appeared only after you upgraded to Storyline 3. I'm not sure what could have caused this to happen, so I'd like our support engineers to test the upgrade on their end. Would you be able to send your original Storyline 2 file to us using this link? Also, please let me know your case number so I can follow along with the testing. :)

I've created a case number 01057330 to which attached the screenshot, the converted/upgraded Storylin3 file and the Sotryline2 file.

I popped in to your case this morning, and it looks like we've logged this issue as a possible software bug in Storyline 3. As a workaround for now, try removing and manually re-adding the background image to the upgraded project.

I really appreciate you reaching out about this, since I don't see that it's been mentioned in the forums before. I'll be sure to send you an update as soon as I get more information, and I'm sorry if this has caused you headaches.

I'll add my name to the list for people with this same problem. Very pain full trying to get rid of it. Images that where originally in the background did have a transparency around the edge.

Great news - Update 3 of Storyline 3 is available!

We released a fix for the issue where a borderline appears around the slides after upgrading Storyline 2 projects to Storyline 3.
