Hyperlink States and Triggers
Jul 30, 2013
Hello. I'm trying to get my hyperlinks to change color after the user selects the hyperlink. This works fine on the base layer but does not appear to work on the added layers.
Base Layer
After clicking on the hyperlink, the learner is brought to the slide and then returns to the page with the hyperlink which has changed color (or state) after the learner has selected. This is how it should work.
Other Layers on top of Base Layer
After clicking on the hyperlink, the hyper link changes color (or state). The learner actually has to click the hyperlink again in order to get to the slide the text is hyperlinked to. It's as if you have to double click in order to get this to work. This is not how it should work.
I have two triggers for each hyperlink.
- One to jump to the slide once the learner clicks.
- The other to change the state to selected (which changes the color of the hyperlink).
Does anyone know what I'm doing incorrectly? Thanks.

I was using text boxes for my hyperlinked text. So I changed to white buttons and the selected state changes nicely on all other layers. So I will use this work around.
