Individual feedback for matching?

Feb 26, 2013

Can I get feedback for each individual question using the Matching Drag and Drop quiz slide? If not, is there a way I can use triggers to do this?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Mara!

Can you give us a little more information about how you'd like the feedback displayed, or how you have the quiz set up? Without getting a better idea of what you're trying to do, we're a little limited with suggestions

Also, the default for the Matching Drag and Drop quiz is "By Question", so I'm still not quite sure what you'd like to see. Are you wanting to show specific feedback for each question, or each answer? Or are you wanting to display content depending on where the user drops the objects?

With the drag and drop matching, I would like to have feedback when the user gets the correct response to each question. For example, when the person drags the correct option to the correct answer, I want a popup feedback to say That is correct, and then also to give an extra tidbit of information.

I tried creating layers and having the layer appear when the individual question is matched correctly. I selected the question/response, created a show layer when state is drop correct when Matching D D drage Item 1 - "Matching D D Drag Item 1"

The response is "Flagged objects do not have these selected states" (this shows up for every option clicked in this state.)

Thank you for your help!

Hi Mara,

Correct, for the Matching Drag and Drop, those states aren't provided for the drag objects. However, you should be able to do something like this pretty easily with a free form Drag and Drop. Have you considered that?

Obviously, it may take some more time to build an interaction like this from scratch, but I believe it will give you the functionality you're looking for, as well as some additional customization. Not only that, you'll be able to add custom states for your drag objects, as well.

Let me know what you think!
