I'm trying to make an interactive PDF in InDesign, and would love to make some quick 1-slide flash interactions in SL that I can insert into InDesign (I'm in CS6).
On my first try inserting the SL .swf into InDesign and publishing, I got "ERORR: Could not load the file '0_content/data.swf" and the rotating circle indicating it's trying to load the file. I assume the SL .swf can't access it's supporting files. Any thoughts on how I can link those up and upload it all to InDesign?
I'm not familiar with InDesign, but in general you need all the supporting files to run the course. So your assumption is correct in that it's not able to find it's supporting structure. If InDesign could do a web object of some type, you could load the content in...but I'm outside my area of expertise there!
Thanks Mike for the response! I played around a bit more with editing the story.html to look for the supporting documents in a public facing drive, but that didn't seem to work. I haven't been able to find anything via google to provide more clues, and so I think I'll have to link to a URL we create with the SL file in it.
Alternatively, I may need to use Captivate because it exports to one .swf file. I like SL much better though!
