Subject line says it all. I'm trying out changing all of our videos to embedded links, but I would still like my slides to advance automatically upon the completion of a video. Is there any way to do this?
Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure if that applies to this situation. The Vimeo video is embedded as a web object within an iframe.
I did find information regarding detecting the end of a Vimeo video via javascript and their API, but this is a little beyond my programming skills, so I will have to look for outside help.
Do we have any Storyline/javascript developers here for hire for a very small project such as this?
Here are some links if others are interested in this topic:
Stretch out the length of the slide to the same time of the embedded video. put in a trigger to move to the next slide at the end of the slide timeline. Simplest is always the best.
Thanks for your input, but that's not really practical, as the user could pause, rewind, or scrub through the video at any time. The timing of the video in the embedded iframe has no link to the timeline, that I know of.
'Fraid not. So you are wanting to do something when the stream video ends? Not possible with SL as the content of the webobject is invisible to SL. For control the only option would be to put the video on the timeline.
I'm not using a web object. My video is embedded as an iframe using "Insert--->Video From Website". It's possible that it won't work this way either, but I'm not sure. I'm still experimenting...I'll post back if I get it working.
We moved to using Wistia instead of Vimeo. Still working with their support people to get this working. This should be pretty easy for someone that knows javascript, but I do not.

Hi Mike!
Have you looked at utilizing a trigger to advance the slide? Check out this thread for a similar conversation and tips.

Bouguie,

Hi,
Why don't you use a webobject ?
Bruce, does that enable one to detect when the video ends?

Hi Mike.
Could you finish the project?
Give us your experience?
Thanks
