Is it possible to directly control object states and or slide layers from within a javascript actuated by a trigger? That is, without requiring a second trigger to operate on the object state or layer? If you have a code sample that'd be helpful.
Hi, John -- You may already be aware of this, but Articulate does not provide support for JavaScript coding, however it may be helpful to take a look at this document on JavaScript Best Practices. Hopefully, some of our experts in the community can chime in with suggestions!
Matt: That's essentially what I did with the attached example. What I see as the problem is that a trigger can perform one operation at a time (distinct from evaluating multiple conditions). So the trigger panel gets crowded really quick.
It would be a really powerful upgrade to a future edition of Storyline if TPTB would add the ability to:
Access system variables (like slide numbers)
Set states of objects and control layers from within javascript
