JavaScript not working

Hi everyone,
I want to use java script to make a printable report. This script should run from a button.
So I
started playing with JavaScript, created new project with a slide and a button.
In this slide I included a trigger with a JS code that displays a popup
message ( alert("Your
message here...") and then a different button that opens the print
option (window.print();) These two work fine.
I have imported one project into the other, but if I include the slides of my original
project, then the buttons that contain the java script
do not work, do nothing. If I remove the original slides and keep only the one with the buttons
that contain the JS, then the buttons work.
Does anyone have any advice on how to solve this?
The original slides contain at least different 5 variables, I don´t know if that could be a problem for Articulate.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Adriana,
Although Javascript is not something we officially support, I did want to welcome you to E-Learning Heroes! There are a number of community members who are well versed in Javascript, and I hope that they'll chime in here to help you out!
Thank you Ashley!
Actually I am looking for a solution to make a printable report.I have a set of variables (choices made by the user) , and I want to give the user the option to print these variables in a report.
Is there a way to do this in Articulate without using JavaScript?

I've seen some community suggestions, such as these from Phil, although I haven't tried them myself.
Yes, thanks!
I tried them already and they all work, but if I include them in my current project they don't work any more!
The JS does nothing.
Any tips?
Are you testing locally?
You need to upload to the web to test this effectively. Also if you have an error in your code it will not work.
