Jumping slides in Story View

I just noticed crazy behavior when viewing my course in Story View. Clicking on a slide will sometimes cause it to "jump" to a different branch in my presentation. It renumbers the slide and everything. My course is color-coded with each branch having a different color, so it was easy to see it happen; otherwise the slide would have jumped, been renumbered, and I wouldn't have known it unless I had completely reviewed the course.

Hello Jeffrey!
Please make sure that you are working locally as described here. Also you could try importing this into a new file and see if that resolves the issue. If you continue to see this occur, you could try a repair of Storyline as well.
I'm working on the C:/ of my VMWare which our I.S. dept mirrors to a network drive. I've always wondered if that is still considered "local."
I have imported the course to a new SL file and also reinstalled SL2. It isn't happening as much, but I have noticed it still happens. Thank you for the quick response. :-)
Hi Jeffrey,
Hm, if the network drive is being backed up from your local drive and therefore syncing with the local drive elements, I'd consider it a network drive instead of a local drive. I know of some users here who report using Dropbox which is a local install but also syncing with any other Dropbox elements as well - but I haven't heard of a lot of problems using Dropbox. With all that being said, generally if a course is behaving oddly and it's associated with a network drive - that seems to be the route cause.
