Letting learners know closed captions is available
What are some ways to let learners know that closed captions are available?
there will be an icon on the player, most videos on YouTube and LinkedIn now have captions on by default.
I see the icon, but will all learners know where it is and what it is? I
want to be able to direct the learner to the icon but do it too
intrusively.I am a strong believer in discovery and not calling out UI. It is difficult to call out if you are using the modern player as you cannot point at it. You could just add a label to the start screen that says this course contains audio, closed captions are available. Most should know the icon for CCs.
