I'm hoping someone knows this off the top of their head, otherwise I'll test to see.
I have links to a lot of PDFs that are on my local drive. Some of them have now been updated. Do I have to relink all my buttons in Storyline that link to these, or do they auto-update when I republish?
Yeah, the link directs to the file on your computer, so it would remain the same as far as I know.
But if they're local files, is this just something for you? How is someone else going to access the files, that was the part that was confusing me, heh
When I publish, they all publish with it so that it works as a package when I move it to our server. My gut was saying it would work fine too--since these are links rather than importing like a video, but just wanted to double check.
Thanks much and have a great day! Hope you are having a warmer spring than we are here in Minnesota!
I publish to LMS, then copy up to our server. I do this all the time with files that I don't have online. It's 5 degrees here now, but the high is 17 today!

Are the locations to the PDFs still the same? Like, the locations/names haven't changed, have they?
Exactly the same.
I'm a bit confused, are you saying these are in the resources, or you have like, hyperlinks to them?
I have pages of buttons, and each button has a trigger that says jump to url/file. I changed the file out, keeping the location/name the same.

Nope, here in Indiana, it's a gorgeous 15 degrees! Happy Spring lol.
How are you publishing them as a package, just curious?
