Looking for help on Numeric entry in storyline

Sep 16, 2021

Hi there,

I created a numeric entry as an activity for my course. I noticed when I review this course in Review360 to test I see the previously entered number displaying at the bottom of the page (see attached screenshot). I have set up this page to "Reset to initial state".  I have also tried to clear my cache and cookies in the Google Chrome browser.  I am so confused about what is causing this issue. Any input and help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Anu.

Thank you for reaching out!

The autofill is based on browser settings and cannot be adjusted from within Storyline.

While you can adjust those settings in your own browser (here are the instructions for Chrome and Edge), it won't affect other users.

Here's a discussion that might be helpful for what you're looking to do:

Hi Anu,

The variable used for the numeric entry is still holding the value. Before going back to the screen you will want to have a trigger to set the variable (by default it's NumericEntry) back to 0. One issue, though: it will show a 0, and not be blank.

Here's another thread about that: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/reset-numeric-entry-box-so-no-value-shows
