If you click to select the marker and then click on the 'Format' tab in the ribbon across the top of the screen, you will see a collection of options called 'Label Styles'.
Select "No Fill" from the 'Label Fill' dropdown and "No Border" from the 'Label Border' dropdown and you will be left with just the marker on-screen.

Try setting the border and fill to transparent.
Set the marker to audio only.
