I have a slide that has multiple markers on it. I would like one of the intro markers to be in its open state when the timeline starts. I can't figure out how to do this? Thanks for any help!
I don't think that is possible using the marker feature. It has characteristics assigned to it by Storyline. The open position is not a state, so you can't add a trigger to open it at the beginning. If you require this, you may need to make a button instead. Or, you could create the popup box yourself, make it appear at the start, and then make it disappear when the user hovers somewhere, or clicks something, etc.
I could really use this feature also. Has anyone made a formal request for the enhancement? I see that people have been wanting it for years. Can we consider this a formal request for the enhancement please?
We always love to see ideas on how we can improve our software, so thanks for making a request! And in case you're wondering, here's how we manage all the great ideas we gather from the community. 🙂
I am using a similar workaround, but it would be nice to have the option built-in. There seems to be plenty of need for it. I'll have a look at your link.
I'm in need of the same thing so that I may make the markers open on their own. It would be nice to add that as a trigger and then one could create a queue point on when they open, but still keep the original functionality of letting the user go back and choose individual markers if needed.

Hey Jacqueline!
Have you seen this workaround? It's an older thread, but the solution is spot on for what you're looking to do.
